What ZeroBounce is good at

ZeroBounce is a large verification platform with deliverability add-ons around the core check: inbox placement tests, blacklist monitoring, a warm-up product, and a subscription bundle called ZeroBounce ONE. It also gives 100 free validations a month. If those extras are part of your workflow, the price premium buys something real.

Why teams look for an alternative

Most outbound teams only use the core check. For them, the arithmetic is simple. ZeroBounce's smallest pay-as-you-go purchase is $39 for 2,000 credits. Here, 2,000 checks on the $9 Launch plan cost about $4.50, and a catch-all or unknown verdict costs nothing.

Credit expiry is the other complaint. ZeroBounce says credits do not expire while you hold a ONE subscription; otherwise, the terms on your account apply. Credits here never expire, whatever plan you are on.

How verification is billed here

Import a CSV into a table, add a Verify email column, and every row gets one of four verdicts: valid, invalid, catch-all, or unknown. A check costs 0.25 credits, and only a definitive answer is billed. Catch-all and unknown results are refunded automatically, because the upstream check does not tell anyone anything there either.

That works out to $2.25 per 1,000 checks on the $9 Launch plan and $0.87 per 1,000 on Volume. Credits never expire, and the same wallet pays for finding emails when the address is missing in the first place. To try a single address first, the free email verifier runs without an account.

Verifying a list versus finding the address

A verifier answers one question: does this mailbox exist? It needs the address up front. Most outbound lists have gaps: a name and a company, but no email, or an old address for someone who has moved on. A pure verifier marks those rows invalid and stops.

Here the same row can go one step further. When the address is missing or comes back invalid, the finder generates the company's likely email patterns, checks each against the mail server, and returns the one that is accepted. You pay $3.49 per 1,000 found-and-verified emails at the best published rate, and nothing for a miss.
